Peter Jones That flute! You could have track one on repeat for quite a while... But there's a whole lot more to come!

With some of them, my funk understanding, I think, must have broadended since first hearing (these aren't all new tracks - the oldest is from 2018). Suddenly, tracks I didn't "get" are great!

If you're not smiling throughout, you might need to check your pulse. This is BIG funk. Favorite track: Crescent City (ft. Benny Greb, Tucker Antell).

    Passionate about the packing of my music I designed this packaging with the awesome illustrations of Angus MacKinnon and the photograph or Rob Blackham.

    A environmentally-friendly CD package including a full colour booklet printed on recycled paper of 8 pages behind the inside left panel of the digipak.

    The discs trays are not made from clear plastic like most digipaks, but are made from recycled egg boxes and have a central cork stud to mount the disc on. The four page printed outer is also made from 100% recycled card stock with a slightly rougher texture than the standard digipaks.

This is the 12th full-blown instrumental album by UK based Redtenbacher's Funkestra. 'Big Funk Band' is a collection of eight original and expertly crafted Jazz Funk album with a stellar line up of Jazz and Funk heavies alongside the battle hardened core of the Funkestra's inner core. Some of the guests are Cory Wong (gtr), Stanton Moore (drs), Keith Carlock (drs), Benny Greb (drs), Francesco Mendiola (drs), Tucker Antell (saxophone), Bruce Gertz (double bass) and Mike Outram (UK).
